Athleta at The Mall at Millenia to Host Yoga Class Benefiting Special Needs Rescue Dogs

Athleta at The Mall at Millenia held a photo shoot to promote a yoga class at which all proceeds will benefit LoveyLoaves, a special needs dog rescue organization.

The class will be held Saturday, Sept. 26 from 8:15 a.m. – 9:30 a.m at Athleta at The Mall at Millenia. It is recommended to RSVP to the store at 407-226-9846 to attend.

The photo shoot featured Adele, an 8–10-year-old rottie/hound mix (currently available for adoption through LoveyLoaves); Peanut, a dog that came from a breeding/hoarding situation and is 2-and-a-half years old; and eight-months-old Chirp, and she is paralyzed in her hindlegs. The photos featured in this video were shot by Dawn Marie Calo.

If you’re interested in adopting Adele, her personality is what you see in the photos and video: laid back, relaxed, and the gentlest and kindest dog. She is up to date on vaccines, had a recent dental, spayed and dog-friendly (cats unknown). She has arthritis in her hips and spine, and she has a Grade 3 heart murmur (down from a Grade 5 originally), but none of this causes her to smile any less. To inquire about Adele, you may contact Cheri Wells, executive chairman of LoveyLoaves, at cheri@loveyloaves.org.

My name is Mark and I’m a mall-aholic. As a native Orlandoan, I’ve been visiting them since I can remember. I’ve also worked in a couple and consider myself a self-appointed expert. There’s been a lot of change when it comes metro Orlando’s mall landscape, and I’ve taken it upon myself to chronicle it. Each mall has a story to tell, and having graduated from the University of Central Florida and double majored in journalism and radio/television, I feel I’m best equipped to make those stories come alive here at Orlando Mall Guide. So whether you’re a local or a tourist needing a shopping break from the attractions, I’m your hookup.
