Central Florida Ballet Performs “The Nutcracker” and Santa Claus Arrives at Orlando Fashion Square

The Central Florida Ballet presents a free performance of “The Nutcracker” at Orlando Fashion Square on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. The 45-minute holiday show culminates in the official welcome of Santa Claus in a parade that starts near Sears. Families can also get their free photo with St. Nick following the performance and subsequent parade through the mall. Forecasts call for a chance of “snow” at Santa’s Village at Center Stage, where families can enjoy sweet treats and activities and giveaways for the kids.

Santa will be available for photos at Orlando Fashion Square starting Nov. 15 and continuing through Dec. 24.

The mall will also feature “Santa Pet Night Sundays” through Dec. 14 in which your dog or cat can take a photo with the jolly man himself. All pets must be on a leash.

My name is Mark and I’m a mall-aholic. As a native Orlandoan, I’ve been visiting them since I can remember. I’ve also worked in a couple and consider myself a self-appointed expert. There’s been a lot of change when it comes metro Orlando’s mall landscape, and I’ve taken it upon myself to chronicle it. Each mall has a story to tell, and having graduated from the University of Central Florida and double majored in journalism and radio/television, I feel I’m best equipped to make those stories come alive here at Orlando Mall Guide. So whether you’re a local or a tourist needing a shopping break from the attractions, I’m your hookup.
