Chico’s Opening at Altamonte Mall, Donating to Charity

Attention ladies!

Chico’s will open it’s newest boutique location at Altamonte Mall on Monday, April 20. And to celebrate the occasion, Chico’s is giving back to the community by donating 10 percent of all opening day proceeds to the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

The Chico’s brand was founded in 1983 as a boutique selling Mexican folk art and cotton sweaters from a store in Florida’s Sanibel Island. Today, Chico’s sells exclusively designed, private branded clothing for women featuring a combination of great style with on-trend, expressive and one-of-a-kind designs to yield a wardrobe that is fashionable, unique and comfortable.

“Chico’s is thrilled to open at Altamonte Mall,” said Cinny Murray, president of the Chico’s brand. “As Chico’s continues to grow, our values – beautiful apparel, exceptional service and deep appreciation for our customer – still remain at the heart of who we are today. We are committed to providing our customers with a high-quality shopping experience.”

Known for exclusive artisan pieces and unique prints and patterns, Chico’s is also home to many signature collections that feature chic, wardrobe-building must-haves that also have signature Chico’s style. The So Slimming™ collection of great-fitting pants uses Hidden Fit™ technology, interior stitching and shaping panels to create an instantly slimming effect. The Travelers™ collection features fashion-forward, wrinkle-resistant knits that are lightweight and go from day-to-night with ease. The Zenergy™ collection offers activewear with a glamorous twist, featuring vivid color, vibrant patterns, and comfortable silhouettes to wear everywhere. Chico’s also offers a wide range of fabulous jewelry and accessories.

The store encompasses 2,437 square feet and will feature the “international” store design concept as seen at its three Canada-based locations.

My name is Mark and I’m a mall-aholic. As a native Orlandoan, I’ve been visiting them since I can remember. I’ve also worked in a couple and consider myself a self-appointed expert. There’s been a lot of change when it comes metro Orlando’s mall landscape, and I’ve taken it upon myself to chronicle it. Each mall has a story to tell, and having graduated from the University of Central Florida and double majored in journalism and radio/television, I feel I’m best equipped to make those stories come alive here at Orlando Mall Guide. So whether you’re a local or a tourist needing a shopping break from the attractions, I’m your hookup.
