RadioShack to Open First Orlando Fix It Here Location at Waterford Lakes Town Center

RadioShack is opening its first “Fix It Here” location in Orlando at its Waterford Lakes Town Center location on Saturday, Sept. 6.

The mobile device repair service offers same-day repair for many of today’s most popular mobile devices. RadioShack’s expert technicians can repair device hardware issues, including:

  • Cracked screens
  • Water damage
  • Broken charging ports
  • Broken buttons
  • Battery replacement
  • Camera issues
  • Audio issues

RadioShack’s “Fix It Here” technicians have completed 40 hours of highly specialized training and can work on the most popular brands of smartphones, media players and tablets.

“Fix It Here” repair services start at $39.99 and include a three-month warranty on parts and labor. An FYI, three months is the industry standard.

Currently, “Fix It Here” service is available in more than 500 locations across the country. RadioShack will increase that number to more than 700 locations by late fall 2014.

The program enables customers who have damaged or broken mobile devices to conveniently have them repaired at one of their neighborhood RadioShack locations by a trained technician with same-day service and guarantee. The devices are dropped off, repaired and picked up, all at the same store location.

Service isn’t performed on phones that are insured or covered on a protection plan. Those customers are advised to follow up with their insurance company.

My name is Mark and I’m a mall-aholic. As a native Orlandoan, I’ve been visiting them since I can remember. I’ve also worked in a couple and consider myself a self-appointed expert. There’s been a lot of change when it comes metro Orlando’s mall landscape, and I’ve taken it upon myself to chronicle it. Each mall has a story to tell, and having graduated from the University of Central Florida and double majored in journalism and radio/television, I feel I’m best equipped to make those stories come alive here at Orlando Mall Guide. So whether you’re a local or a tourist needing a shopping break from the attractions, I’m your hookup.
